Our famous Summer sportive Tour de Broads event returns for the 6th time in 19th August 2018. Experience the unique country roads, quiet villages and picturesque scenery that the Norfolk Broads has to offer, in a safe, well-supported, friendly event.

The Family Ride

The Summer Family ride is perfect riders of all ages. A traffic-light route exploring the quiet country lanes surrounding Whitlingham that should take about an hour to complete. Younger riders can take part in a treasure hunt to earn an extra prize, everyone is presented with a quality medal. If you entered our Spring event, your medals fit together to create a clever work of art.

The Grand Depart

We have once again found a new home for the 2018 edition of The Tour de Broads Summer Sportive, this time bringing the event HQ even closer to the Broads, Whitlingham Country Park. The venue is completely self-contained with all facilities on site, including:

  • Mobile mechanic and Broom Wagon
  • Merchandise
  • Pre-ride mechanical support
  • Registration and information point
  • Music and entertainment
  • Finish Line Photography
  • Toilets


All routes are fully signposted.

Finish Line

All riders who complete the event will be greeted at the finish area with a smile, a Finisher’s medal as well as a complimentary gift. Finish line photos will be available to purchase after the event.

Car Parking

Family ride entrants can pre-purchase a car park ticket for £6 to park at Trowse Snowsports Centre on Whitlingham Lane, just half a mile up the road. Sales for these will be open until 6pm Wednesday 15th and vouchers will be posted to you. There are a limited number of these available and these will be offered to families on a first-come, first served basis.   This car park will be open from 7am and will also serve as a DROP OFF POINT for those getting a lift to/from the event.
