Yearly Round Up

Firstly we would like to thank all our customers for supporting Pedal Revolution this year. We have had an amazing year supporting local cycling events, young athletes, hosting open days and so much more!

Read below about our adventure this year and how we have given back to the local area and communities.

MBO Change Of Ownership

We started the year with a fairly major change to Pedal Revolution. After an accumulative total of 34 years of putting their heart and soul into Pedal Revolution, owners Gareth Edwards and Neil Turner decided it was time to take a step back and pass the baton onto a new Management team. Since then the business has built on the great platform that Neil and Gareth passed over. Its been an exciting and challenging year for the new team…

Southwold Roubaix Event

Moving onto Spring and the Southwold Roubaix. Our very own Matt from our Norwich store took part in the 75 mile route (which he loved “after a few beers at the end”). Our team from Pedal Revolution supported the TPR Events team in this event providing essential mechanic support and staffing.

Insanity Sportive

Onto earl Summer Pedal Revolution then supported TPR Events again at the brand new Insanity Sportive at Wymondham Rugby Club. This event was a truly spectacular event with routes varying from 100 miles all the way to 150 miles! Our team wasn’t brave enough to ride it but we supported once again with mechanics and staff for those all important drink stops.

Brand Ambassador Program

We launched one of the most popular programs in the Eastern region this year. The brand ambassador program gives back to local community, for worthy cyclists, whether that’s an up and coming athlete or just ones that want to keep up with there children! Luckily for Karl and Jack they where chosen to be on our ambassador program giving them the ability to train in all weathers with a matching pair of Trek Domanes.

Tour de Broads

Moving onto late Summer and the biggest cycling event in the Eastern region. Tour de Broads ran by TPR Events has thousands of cyclists take part in routes varying from 25 miles all the way up to 100 miles. These routes criss cross there way through the stunning Norfolk Broads National Park seeing all of the local sights. Our Pedal Revolution team came out in full force to help support this event giving riders mechanical help along with the all important flapjacks at the stops.

J.Guillem Open Day

Into Autumn and we held a J.Guillem open day which was a huge success bringing people from all over the country to meet and speak to the owner of J.Guillem bikes. With a day of answering questions and given the huge benefits to riding Titanium bikes we finished it off with a lovely (wet!) ride round some local roads testing and riding some of the most beautiful bikes in the world.

12th Man Training

In October of this year we had some team training from the good folks at 12th Man. Our team thoroughly enjoyed this training, learning lots and taking away some good points about helping their mental health. We all know that cycling is good for our mental health but having some specific training to help improve our mental health is always a good thing

E-Bikes at Home

Bringing us nearly up to date, we have just launched tour one of a kind service called E-Bikes at Home. With the wonderful world of E-bikes taking off, we now provide this service bringing e-bikes right to your doorstep, with one of our E-bikes specialists from Pedal Revolution. We then accompany you on a ride around your own local roads and answer any questions you may have about a E-Bike purchase. From this brand new service we have had great success in bringing the the hugely versatile world of E Bikes to customers who wouldn’t like to ride on the city streets.

Weekly Mountain Bike Rides from Gorleston

Finally we finish this yearly round up with a brand new weekly ride from our Gorleston store. This weekly mountain bike ride takes you on some of the most amazing trails round the local area of Gorleston all accompanied by our head mechanic Skip from the store. These weekly rides have been ever successful (minus the few poor weather days) with plenty of people joining us and exploring what there is to love about mountain biking.

Look out for shop rides starting from Norwich soon!
